THERAPIST
Boyd is a licensed counselor and approved clinical supervisor. He was trained in Existential Psychotherapy and Rational Emotive Behavior Therapy. He accesses a broad range of techniques grounded in different disciplines and theoretical approaches. He encourages rational and empirical thinking and decision-making.
Boyd has 40 years of experience as a therapist, clinical supervisor, administrator, trainer, and consultant. He provides individual and couple therapy, clinical supervision and consultation, and leadership and career coaching. He emphasizes mechanisms of change within the context of unconditional acceptance of oneself, others, and the world. Boyd incorporates science, literature, music, art, and philosophy to explore a deeper, nuanced understanding of factors contributing to clients’ life choices and their ability to flourish in work and relationships.

Sachele Edwards, MA, CAS, LCPC
THERAPIST
Sachele is a child and adolescent therapist dedicated to helping children and their families navigate a wide range of issues, including separation and divorce, behavioral challenges, anxiety, ADHD, school problems, and working through life transitions/stressors.
Sachele is a School Psychologist and licensed as a Clinical Professional Counselor. She brings over fifteen years of experience to her practice. She draws from multiple theoretical orientations with a broad range of techniques and modalities, including play therapy and cognitive behavioral therapy, to tailor treatment to the specific needs and developmental capabilities of her clients.
Sachele believes in creating a safe and nurturing environment where children feel heard and understood. She collaborates with parents, school, and medical professionals to ensure comprehensive and coordinated care.
Whether your child is struggling with emotional challenges, behavioral difficulties, or life transitions, she is there to provide compassionate support and guidance every step of the way. Together with parents, she works to foster healing, growth, and resilience for children and their families.

Rebecca Blank, LCPC, LCADC
THERAPIST
People reach out to therapists for many reasons – to help them recover from pain and loss, to decrease emotional distress, to gain insight about thoughts and feelings, to enhance skills needed to improve relationships, and to navigate challenges. Therapy provides a collaborative space for healing and positive change.
Rebecca’s approach to therapy is holistic and strengths-based. Therapeutic practices are integrated with mindfulness techniques that foster self-awareness and acceptance, and promote healthy behaviors and relationships.

McKalah works with clients of all ages, particularly those who may feel apprehensive about therapy, as they navigate transitions and life experiences. Her aim is not to solve your problems, but to equip you with useful skills and to provide guidance through a personalized and collaborative experience. The therapeutic experience will be grounded in respect for each individual's unique journey and McKalah collaborates with clients to develop tailored solutions.
McKalah uses an approach that emphasizes person-centered empathic understanding and unconditional positive regard. She integrates cognitive behavioral methods to help clients gain insight into their thought patterns and learn strategies to challenge and reframe unhelpful thoughts, thus alleviating emotional distress and promoting positive behavioral change.

Mandy Shankman, LGPC

Mandy is a mental health therapist dedicated to providing compassionate care that integrates evidence-based strategies to meet the diverse needs of each individual. Mandy believes deeply in the transformative power of the therapeutic relationship. By creating a safe and supportive space, she strives to build a strong therapeutic alliance where clients can explore their emotions and behaviors with trust and authenticity.
In addition to being a Licensed Graduate Professional Counselor, Mandy brings 18 years of experience as a school psychologist in Baltimore. While Mandy works with clients with a broad range of backgrounds and needs, her personal and professional experience has cultivated a passion for empowering individuals who are neurodivergent, sexually diverse, or gender-expansive. Her aim is to help clients better understand themselves in order to foster resilience, personal growth, and fulfilling relationships.

Casey Dillon, PhD
PSYCHOLOGIST/TESTING SUPERVISOR
Casey is a licensed clinical psychologist serving in a supervisory role for comprehensive psychological assessment. She brings 6 years of testing experience and 7 years of supervision experience, and is thrilled to work alongside LB Counseling Group’s team in this capacity. Casey’s background is rooted in mental health services for children, adolescents, early adults, and families across outpatient clinics, residential and inpatient programs, hospitals, and schools. She specializes in working with ADHD, behavioral concerns, family discord, anxiety, depression, peer relationship challenges, feeding difficulties, and issues around self-identity/self-esteem. Casey’s mental health philosophy emphasizes helping clients to extend patience and grace to themselves as they work toward insights, progress, and balance. She enjoys collaborating with providers throughout the assessment process, offering guidance on recommendations, and helping to set clients on a clear path toward meaningful support and healing.
